GAUNTLET deck, tier #6 While I actually consider the Unicorn deck a little more "reliable" than this build, considering the potential for "games where you feel hopeless" gives this Lion blitz build a higher score (and gauntlet tier). The plan is simple: - buy Sachika(s) and 1-2 Lion Samurai turn1 - attack at different provinces - play Reinforcements Arrive to load your personalities with followers - play Superior Tactics + Broad Front to get your personalities back together - destroy 2 provinces on your turn2 You can use Superior Strategist (which any of your Samurai can use thanks to Akodo Sensei) to get the missing combo pieces. The Fate deck includes a couple of other tricks, such as Consideration (great on Matsu Sango), The Sun Returns (should you need to go to an opposed battle for the endgame), and Storms of War (likewise and against pesky Ninja decks). On the Dynasty, Peasant Revolt, Akodo's Guidance and Kitsu Osen xp can give you that extra edge for the final swings. Since you generally deplete your hand very quickly, the Imperial Edition Ring of the Void is used to refill it. It is crucial to Border Keep aggressively and not care about gold development. Your victory odds will be greatly improved if you manage to recruit 3 personalities turn1. Remember Broad Fronts stack very neatly: - you assign personalities to provinces A, B and C - on province A, Broad Front everyone to B - next on province C, Broad Front everyone to B as well - when you resolve B, you *only* need to exceeed the combined strength of A+B *or* C+B (whichever is greater) to destroy all 3 provinces.
