Notes

GAUNTLET deck, tier #8 One of the most classic (and infamous) setups, this deck uses Gozoku Sensei as a lockdown engine combined with a stronghold that lets you bow a personality instead of discarding the Imperial Favor to keep it fueled. Even in "house errata" form - wherein reusing the Sensei's ability *straightens* the personality it last targeted - Gozoku is still a beast. You can lock any unit, and start reducing honor gains (which is actually better than causing honor losses) right from your opponent's turn 1. Your personality base for this deck complements the "bow everything" lockdown strategy, whereas the Fate deck is devoted mostly to dishonor and presenceless defense. Bayushi Nomen gives you some security on the defense, whereby you can play Unexpected Betrayal for epitomal Scorpion fun. The power uniques - especially Bayushi Kaukatsu - complement your dishonor capabilities. Storm Heart and the 2nd Unexpected Betrayal are a "fun" touch (I have always considered Storm Heart to perfectly embody the "choice that is only apparent" aspect of Scorpion control); in an optimized build I would prefer 3 Bad Kharma and 3 Shame. I might also cut out the 2nd Assigning Blame for either Ingenuity or a second Gold Buys Security.
