About L5R DB

L5R DB is a free, fan-made database and deck-building website for the original Legend of the Five Rings collectible card game (the 1995–2016 AEG/FFG CCG, sometimes called "L5R Classic" to distinguish it from the later Fantasy Flight Games LCG). It lets you search every card ever printed across all sets and editions, build and publish decklists, and track which cards you own in a personal collection.

The card database is built on data from Oracle of the Void, the most complete reference for L5R card data and imagery. The site's structure and deck builder are heavily inspired by NetrunnerDB, built by Alsciende for the Android: Netrunner community — L5R DB exists because that same kind of tool didn't exist yet for L5R.

Public decklists come from the community: players who register an account can publish their own decks, and the site also includes several hundred historical decklists preserved from kempy's L5R CCG Repository, an archive of tournament and casual decks from the game's original run.

L5R DB is not produced, endorsed, sponsored, or affiliated with Alderac Entertainment Group or Fantasy Flight Games. All card names, text, and artwork remain the property of their respective copyright holders and are used here for reference and deck-building purposes only. The site itself is run independently by a single developer, for the community, at no cost.
