Celestial Sword of the Lion

The Promotional version of this card is considered one of the rarest L5R cards in history. Almost all of them were said to have been stolen before they were distributed. The actual number of Foil Lion Swords in circulation is unknown but has been estimated to be less than 10. It is signed because all of the legitimate versions had to be signed by an AEG employee at the time, to distinguish them from missing copies. Former AEG employee Bryan Reese years later refuted both the count and the theft claim, estimating that there were a few dozen signed copies, as he alone once had four, and asserting that the theft was a cover-story to obfuscate the fact that janitorial staff had disposed of the others by accident.
